Amy Moon
Girls to the Mic!  Producer

Amy is currently the Membership and Development Manager at the CBAA.  She has spent almost two decades in the community broadcasting sector, in various volunteer and management roles at 2MBS (now Fine Music 102.5), 2RRR, 3MBS and the Community Broadcasting Foundation.  In a former life, Amy studied music and played in an Irish folk band but these days she is much more at home appreciating the musical stylings of others.

When was the first time you remember identifying as being a feminist?
I remember as a 9 year old girl hearing my dad quietly yet staunchly defend my right to join the local under 10s cricket team and play alongside the boys.  From that moment, I knew that if the argument had to be made then it was clearly something worth fighting for.  And I have defended the right for women and girls to work and play alongside men and boys ever since.
Girls to the Mic is a joint initiative of the Digital Radio Project and Community Radio Network at the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia
